In case you missed last week’s edition, check it out below.

People often ask “How do I use AI for my social media strategy?”.

Well, here’s one way that you absolutely shouldn’t be using it.

In short,

Never fully outsource your community management (or the content itself) to AI.

It’s super obvious and throws away all of the brand reputation you’ve built throughout the years.

Instead, you can use AI to:

  • Find optimal times to schedule your content

  • Do research for a specific topic you’re writing about

  • Re-format a short form piece of content for a specific platform

  • Do grammar checks on your content

  • Be your dummy audience and help you refine your content

  • Re-write your content in a different tone

  • Provide different sub-topics that you can write about

  • Help define your audience persona based on your niche

  • Give you different options for headlines, hooks, and CTAs

  • Help you brainstorm different ideas for long form pieces

  • Chop up a long form piece into short form pieces of content

For example, I asked ChatGPT to provide me with 5 hooks I can use for social.

Here they are:

  1. Question Hook: Pose a thought-provoking question related to your content to engage your audience. For example: "Ever wondered what the future of AI holds? Join us as we explore the possibilities! #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureTech"

  2. Statistic or Fact Hook: Share a surprising or intriguing statistic or fact relevant to your topic. For instance: "Did you know that over 80% of consumers prefer brands that prioritize sustainability? Discover how your business can go green! #Sustainability #GreenBusiness"

  3. Teaser Hook: Provide a teaser or sneak peek of what your content offers, leaving followers curious and eager to learn more. For example: "Unlock the secrets to boosting productivity in just 10 minutes a day! Stay tuned for our upcoming tips and tricks. #ProductivityHacks #TimeManagement"

  4. Controversial Statement Hook: Make a bold or controversial statement that sparks conversation and encourages audience interaction. Such as: "Forget what you've heard – traditional marketing isn't dead! Find out why it's still relevant in today's digital age. #Marketing #DigitalStrategy"

  5. Personal Story or Anecdote Hook: Share a personal story or anecdote that relates to your content, making it more relatable and engaging for your audience. For instance: "Struggling to find work-life balance? Been there! Let me share my journey and the lessons I've learned along the way. #WorkLifeBalance #PersonalExperience"

We can probably do without the hashtags and refine the hooks themselves a bit so that they don’t sound so generic, but not bad.

Next, I asked it to give me 7 question hooks (without the hashtags).

Here’s what it gave me:

  1. "Ever wondered what the key to happiness truly is? Join us as we explore the science behind finding joy in everyday life!"

  2. "Are you tired of diets that don't work? Discover the secret to sustainable weight loss without sacrificing your favorite foods!"

  3. "Curious about the future of renewable energy? Let's delve into the latest innovations and breakthroughs shaping the green energy landscape!"

  4. "Wondering how to stand out in a competitive job market? Stay tuned for expert tips on crafting a winning resume that gets you noticed!"

  5. "Do you struggle with managing stress in your daily life? Explore practical techniques for stress relief and mindfulness that you can start using today!"

  6. "Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world on a budget? Discover insider secrets and hacks for experiencing luxury travel without breaking the bank!"

  7. "Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Learn how small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of positive change!"

Again, still not perfect.

But you could keep refining this process and asking it to adjust the tone based on your liking until you have templates that you can go ahead and use for yourself.

AI is only going to become more useful from here on out.

But it’s up to you to know when and how to use it.

Don’t get lazy and fully outsource your social presence.

Do use it to supercharge your creativity, editing, and research process.

Lmk if AI x Social is a topic that you’d like to see more of and I’ll make it a series.

It would include prompts, examples, & how I’m using AI for my social content.

What I loved this week:

If you’re finding value in this newsletter, I’d really appreciate a share on social!

It goes a long way for me.

Thank you!
